Good morning sweet happy turtles,

After resting on Thursday, I will be doing weights and push-ups today. Shannon I agree with you on your outside numbers. It is the inside numbers that are important. We all try to work each day to be healthier. Mel, I am happy that your job is working out for you. You have enough to worry over with your eyes right now. I hope you are feeling better. Pat I hope you can come out and play with us soon, you are working way too hard. Hugs to all. Big Hug

Hey gang! Well it looks like I had a day off from exercise today. I had to leave early this morning to get to the hospital to have a tilt test done (and I had to be fasting)...so no exercise for me this morning and just a little too tired tonight. The good news is that the tilt test did reveal the cause for my dizziness and and it's easily fixable.

The test itself was not so much fun but at least it was productive. It was kind of weird actually - they run an i.v., slap on a b.p. cuff and heart monitor and strap you to this table which they tilt up to an 80 degree angle and leave you there for 15 min, then give you a spray of nitroglycerin and leave you there for another 15 min. I have no idea why this triggers an ncs episode but apparently it does because I didn't get past the first 15 min - they stopped the test when my b.p. dropped to 49/32. Well looks like problem solved! They told me to eat lots of salt (and I explained how much sodium is in NS foods and that I add more on top of it and the doc laughed :rotfl: ) and I'll take some beta blockers. Phew, so soon I will have no more issues driving! Big Grin

So it's been a rather crazy day, to say the least. But the good news is...IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Party I hope you all have a great night and a super weekend!!

Good morning sweet turtles,

It is football day. Please give a helping hand for the Colts. Shannon, I am glad the Doctor found your problem. The extra salt will probably make you hold some extra water. I am happy you are all right. Mel, I have enough problems with push ups with just my extra weight, maybe next year I might be able to do “one” push up with a rider. Mel, hope you are feeling well. Pat, I do not see you sweating. What is happening Hugs to you all.

? Better to do a little well, than a great deal badly.

Good morning my turtle buddies! I hope you all had a great weekend. How about them Colts, Howard! I'll be routing for them in the Super Bowl!

I had a pretty busy weekend. I did find a treadmill on Sat. and it is being delivered on Wed. - can't wait! I didn't rip out the carpet, however. I figured it might be a while before I can afford to put in the flooring so I decided to keep it for now and I just bought a little hand held carpet cleaner yesterday. I've already used it twice and it's a lot easier than scrubbing by hand. I figured that with all the pets I have it would come in handy even after I get rid of the carpet because I'll still have area rugs and accidents happen (and they usually happen on the rugs :rotfl: )

I got off to a good start this morning. I walked Kayleigh, fed the gang, went to the vet to pick up Simba's meds, came home and did 30 min on the elliptical. Then I called Good Will and they are coming on Wed. to pick up a bunch of furniture and clothes and misc. stuff. So I've been rather productive so far on a personal level. Now I need to get productive for work.

So on that note, I hope you all have a great day! Mel, have fun shopping!

Heart Hugs

Good Morning, I'm flying by.

Howard, I'm fine. Nothing big in the scale dept., but I bought some new clothes this weekend and I'm into a size 10!!! Yeah!! So even though the scale isn't moving, the inches are.

I'm so busy with work, working straight through some of my weekends, and not hitting the road to sweat at all. Doing TM time now and then, but not enough. Food and water is good, but exercise needs a boost!

Come on down to Fl, Howard and give us a boost!
Mel, hold that nose of yours and dump that stuff out! That is something you don't need.
Hope all is well with you. Sorry I've been absent. I'll try to be more diligent from now on.

Have a great day all!

And welcome again to the new turtle!! Cheerleader

Winter keeps coming and going up here. :rotfl: It was a lovely day outside. They say snow is on the way but you would never know it. I loved the mall but it's bad for the eyes/face. LOTS of perfumey things there. I look a mess today. Found a great sale in 2 stores and got lots of clothes with the gift cards. 6 tops, 3 pants, 2 slippers, 4 Yankee Candles, and Valentine's stuff for the kids. Great day! :rotfl: Just know we are all thinking of you Big Hug

Wave to Howard and his beloved Colts!! Cheerleader

Dearest sweet Turtles,

I have been doing some exercises. I walked for three miles each Sunday and Monday. I also did 50 push-ups on Sunday. I will do some weights tonight. I am not doing so well on the losing weight front. I get so frustrated that I end up eating more than I should. I will just have to give up on the time line and work with the bottom line. Mel, I am proud of your peddling. You are doing a super job. Pat, you may not be sweating a lot but you are losing inches so that is good. Shannon, we need to put our heads together and figure out what we can do to get back on track. Hugs to you all.

It is not what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable.

I FOUND THIS FROM PAT AND BROUGHT IT OVER HERE:

Quote:My God,
Shannon,

You have been on a whirlwind, haven't you? I'm glad that you are all psyched up and getting totally motivated!

Keeping healthy and feeling good is far better than numbers any day. And you always look good, Shannon. So keep on doing what you're doing!! You go girl!

Glad to hear your work problems are being solved, Mel. Now, if you can take care of those eyes, all the power to you!

Howard, there is nothing to say to you but keep doing your thing! You must be solid like a rock!

Everyone have a great evening!

Good morning turtle buddies! Howard, I agree about looking at the bottom line. Those timelines don't cut it for me either. No worries though, we are doing a good job - we are getting healthier by the day and the weight will come off (eventually Big Grin )

Mel, yay for a good shopping day! Sounds like fun. Sorry about your eyes/face though. That little carpet cleaner is great - I can't even tell you how much I have used it already (way easier than scrubbing with paper towels and a brush).

Pat, don't ya just hate when all that work stuff gets in the way of the important stuff (like posting here Big Grin ). But being busy is a good thing and yay for size 10! Cheerleader

Well I'm working from home today again and I should have my treadmill in just a few hours! Woot I didn't do much exercise this morning because I had such a hard time waking up and then I had to get things ready for Good Will. But I plan on having a really good workout on the treadmill later tonight! Big Grin And I've been very good with the food this week so far so I feel like I'm starting to get back on track.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi, everyone, just flying by. I am so busy. Just wanted to say hello.
Glad to hear you are so excited about your TM, Shannon.
I'm so pooped at night and sometimes even have to work in the evening that I don't always get to get on the TM unless I do it at 5:30 a.m. So, I guess I'm gonna have to start getting up earlier and that is not gonna be funny!

Hope all is well with you, Mel. Stay away from those cleaners!.
Howard, you sound like a mad man with those pushups and miles. How are you not losing weight? Maybe your body is so used to it and you should let off for a while and give it a break. Our bodies get used to whatever we put it through and will not release until there's a let down. Or maybe you have very little fat to get rid of. You're all muscle, man!!
