My good thing for today was a request for my resume from a company looking for a technical writer for a government contract. I had just sent them a quick e-mail that indicated I was interested, so it was really nice that they want to see my resume. I can only DREAM that I'd get the job (it is paying an ungodly amount of money!), but it is always nice to have someone interested in me!

Who's next?

I'm crossing everything crossable (and that's getting to be more and more with each lb shed :rotfl: ) that you get that dream job! Big Hug

It's only a contract job for 6 months which means I would have to quit my permanent job (which I'm planning to do anyway in another year or so). But I would make in 6 months what I make now in 2 years! It would be worth quitting my ''safe'' job for it. And I really don't need benefits like health insurance and stuff since DH carries me (as well as insurance through my current employer), so it would definitely be a win/win situation. The only down side would be 6 months of very little time for being here with you guys plus being away from DH during that time. The job is about 2 1/2 hours away from home, so it definitely would not be possible to commute.

Good Evening all Posters !!

It's nice as usual to see so many good things!

Today I did have a busy day. I gave my grandson a haircut this afternoon, (not easy on a 3 year old), and he wore me out til about 8:45 when he was done with his bath and had on his jammies and left. I am exhausted now, but in a really good way !! He brings out the best in me !!!! Sure, tonight when I'd like to get to bed early, DH isn't home. He is at his nephew's hockey game. I have to stay up til at least 10 to let the dog out, then I am going up to bed.

So have a great night all !! After checking out a few more posts, I am hitting the hay !!!

Dee... sounds like you had a wonderful, if exhausting day! Good for you!

Kat, congrats on the kittens... *start spreading the mews!!*

Kim... sounds like a real good day to me, but be careful what you wish for... the cashew is usually the first of the mixed nuts to be eaten!!
