Good morning all!!!! Boy was yesterday a slow day in Futzville!! Hopefully, that means our citizens have been doing no Futzing!!! :rotfl:

Which leads me to the daily question...... How often do you weigh yourself? And....what type of scale do you use?

Well..... I started out being a daily weigher- and then tried to get away from that b/c I was becoming addicted to the scale. I then went only to 2 times a week. However, my thoughts on the subject have changed. I think for me, daily weighing helps me to be accountable,. Sooooo...... I am back to weighing at LEAST every other day. The scale I use is the Tanita solar powered one- and I have to say I'm not crazy about it. It takes an awful lot of bright light to activate it. So I have to have it in just the right light- which is very tricky

Well, I'm off to drop the kids off at school and then to run some errands- so I'll be back later!!!!! Big Hug

Morning Sheri! And thanks to you and everyone else for their well-wishes for the kitty yesterday! (Taht means you, too KT! Sorry I didn't get to reply last night!)

As a Newbie, I tried really hard to only weigh once a week, but it really was usually twice. When I started futzing around september, I became a daily weigher, like Sheri, needing the accountability. I think when you have less to lose, (and aren't being religiously good) staying on top of it is more important. So my recommnediaton would be it depends on where you are in your weight loss journey. Although not the intention, I feel I've been sorta on maintenance these past few months, so daily weighing was in order. Now that I"m kicking it to high gear again, but only have ten or so more pounds to go, I"m weighing daily and recording weekly. I use a Tanita (but battery powered) that I think is GREAT -- and measures in .2 which I always appreciate! Big Grin

I have the same scales as Lisa and I love it. Especially when it shows me a lower weight like this morning! Whoo hoo! I guess all this hard work and exercise is really paying off because the scale is moving downward. I still have 10 pounds to go in three weeks to reach my Hawaii goal but that was just a number, just something to work toward to keep me motivated. If I reach it great but my real excitement will be if my pants and shorts fit better by then. I'd be SO happy with that.

Gotta run, I did Curves and then the treadmill for 38 minutes so I am in desperate need of a shower and I have to be to work at 11am so I need to move it! I'll be back later peoples!! (yes you were warned, lol!)

PS: I weigh daily. I need the accountability too.

I really want a battery powered one!!!!! Waaaahhh!!! Mine weighs in .5's, so I don't like that either. New scale in order for me???? Hmmmmm???? Maybe I'll reward myself with one when I get my butt back down to ticker weight.

Kt- You are rockin and rollin! Way to go with all the exercise and downward scale movement!!! Hawaii is definitely a motivator- maybe if I lose enough weight by then too I can fit in your suitcase??? :rotfl:

Hey everyone.

I missed you guys yesterday and the day before. The assistant principal from hell has been attached at my hip, so I haven't had much computer time. Oh well...

Yesterday I really futzed!! DH called and asked if I would meet him for lunch...I said of course since he doesn't ask very often. We ended up going to a Chinese place. I ate like it was my last meal. After that, I really stepped it up at the gym. I weighed last night and was up 3 pounds from yesterday morning. This morning, I was back down so hopefully kicking it up a notch at the gym helped my moment of weekness. I told DH that from now on, that place was off limits. If he wanted to meet for luch, it would HAVE to be at Subway.

I weigh myself every single day. I don't know what kind of scale I use. It's black, and you have to hit the center for it to calibrate, then when the 0.0 comes up you step on. It weighs in .5 increments.

I hope everyone is doing good.

Big Hug

Hi Monica! Wave It's been really quiet in here the last few days, but we did all ask about DS's birthday...how'd it go? Did he have fun!??

I admire you're ability to even things back out by working extra hard at the gym--I'm afriad my mentality is more "oh crap, I've already blown it anyway...." I can't stand that I let myself convince myself of that way of thinking!

Hello Futzville citizens!

Well I survived lunch out and I don't think I did too bad -- although our ''chef'' put way too much soy sauce in the rice! I only ate a couple of tablespoons, but I can already feel the sodium retention! I had the shrimp and scallops combo so at least I saved some calories in the protein -- also added an order of zucchini and onions -- yum! Brought home the rest of the fried rice for DH. I'm having Christina's chicken stroganoph for dinner tonight -- yum!

Hope everyone is having a good hump day. Two more days until futz pit update!!

He had a wonderful birthday. This year was really fun since he gets into opening the gifts. He was so good that day even though he didn't have a nap. We got him a Cars cake since that's his favorite movie and he kept sticking his finger in the icing to taste. Children are just so wonderful!! Thank you, everyone, for asking!!

About me working extra hard to even things out...In the past I would never do that. I would do just like you said and blow the rest of the day off. My mindset is just so different this time. I honestly amazed myself yesterday because I was in NO MOOD to exercise, but I knew I had to!! I guess that's why I've always heard that this is a change in lifestyle, not something that we can do for a little then go back to how we were. I don't know what has changed my way of thinking but I'm so glad it is changed, and I hope it stays changed!!
