uktraveler wrote:Hi all,

sorry to have fallen off the face of the world. Work got a bit out-of-control and Spring semester started. I'm taking 3 classes this semester. So I've been busy.

I have been 100% since Jan 1st but the scale is NOT moving. I've even increase my intensity on the treadmill and definitely getting in work with weights.
End of October I started NS at 194, Ive been at 177/178 since Jan 6th. It won't budge. Any suggestions? I know the scale shouldn't be the only measuring factor but I WANT it to move.

I love the gal's comment about eating fried grasshoppers if told it would move the scale. LOL, I'm with ya gal.

2007 here we come, healthier, stronger, thinner and wise.

Barb

Hi Barb Waving No need to be sorry...we are here whenever you need us Big Hug But it is great to see you checking in! Yahoo

WOO HOO HOO HOO! for your MANY 100% days Cheerleader

As for your scale not moving, here are the standard questions.

1 Are you eating all your food?
2 Do you need to add a protein because of your workouts?
3 Are you using string cheese as a protein? String cheese is high in sodium
4 If using dairy have you tried switching to protein when a dairy/protein serving is to be used?
5 Have you taken your measurements? Many times you get smaller but don't lose pounds. This one I will never understand, but it's true.
6 Have you tried switching your lunch and dinner around?

Going a few weeks without losing is very common. Especially if you don't have a lot to lose. If you have been on the program for 3 months...you have averaged 5.67 pounds lost per month. THAT is fantastic! Clapping

If you read Linda's (smartassww) post, she called NS support and you can see what they told her to do. Like her, you may very well need the extra calories. Remember we need the fuel for our bodies to burn fat.

Maybe some of the others have a few ideas for you.

You are doing great and still have a wonderful attitude so a big WAY TO GO!!!

Yea, the beanies were killed. Both were bunnies and the boys were so proud of themselves Rolls Eyes I walked in, seen the mess, and said WHAT DID YOU BOYS DO?! Can you believe they just sat there smiling and looking so proud?

Glad the meditation is working. I'm still working it Meditate Meditate Meditate
The same goes for you as I said to Medeis, I don't know who is going to be more excited, you or me! Big Grin

You have been full of useful info lately and glad you found something to help you get all the water in.

And yes yes yes...you WILL be in Onederland soon! Yahoo

Awww... Deb you are so cute and sweet! I read the posts earlier today but it was a crazy day at the office so I didn't have much time to post, I checked the board a few times and posted a few quickies but I realized I hadn't checked in here yesterday b/c I got home late as I ran errands after work so... I was reading todays thread as I am eating my dinner and JUST GOT BACK FROM THE GYM... and then I get to the bottom getting ready to reply and I see the where's Jaime post. Awww... it's so nice to have a group of people who are there and supporting you and making sure things are ok. Thank you.

WOW, People are back! Nancy, Angie, Barb.... yay for that!

Deb, I agree with Donna that sometimes nothing too exciting can be good. It means all is status quo!

Linda, I'm glad you contacted NS and it sounds like they gave you some good advice. Yay for getting your red bear, I'm working hard to get to 20 so I can get my next bear.(Not sure what color it is)

Donna, I too am really glad to have you here in the group. It's great that you have joined us b/c you bring a positive energy and you are an inspiration with all your 100% days!

Nancy, so good to see you. As you saw, we were wondering what happened to you. I am so sorry you have been under so much stress lately, and I am so sorry about your uncle, esp when you are all the way down in Fl. Where in FL are you btw? Thats good news about your kitty though... I'm really glad he is doing better.

Angie, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! It's amazing what a difference a year makes huh? Glad to have you back and we are here to cheer you on and keep you on track!

Hi Medeis wtg on staying 100% as always! You get a woo and a hoo. (So long as you aren't eating too much popcorn)

Barb, if it is any consolation, my scale hasn't moved in a while either. Deb says that happens. I think her suggestions for getting it to budge are great, and she should know, she's an NS pro, and she lost more than half her body! Last time I stalled, I cut out my shakes and I switched my Dairy Protien to just protien. Not sufe if it worked or not but eventually it started moving again so hang in there and keep it up!

Gail... look who's a lb away from Onederland. Boy I can't wait to celebrate and have that party!

I was almost 100% yesterday except that I skipped my veggie at dinner b/c I wasn't that hungry (imagine that) and I've been 100% today! I'm hoping to get to 145 by Valentines Day as I have a wedding that weekend. Here's hoping. Oh and I'm excited for my Nana. She is going to be trying NS b/c she wants to lose 10lbs. She says her pants are too tight. Awww... She doesn't need it but I think it will actually be good and keep her eating balanced and healthy so I'm telling her to go for it. She doesn't have a computer so I'm going to her house this weekend to go over the menu w/ her and help her get started. That will be fun.

Other than that, I got to the gym twice so far this week which is exciting. Ok. enough rambling from me.[/color]

Hi Marti,

You have found the right place! The jazz site as well as the 100% club!

Looks like you have been doing really well in your first two weeks looking at your stats so congrats on your success so far!

There are no rules, the 100% club is just a place to come for support on staying 100% on the plan. It's a great group of people so I'm really glad you found us!
